Differences between Ethereum and XHAVIC

Xhavic is built on the Bedrock release of the OP Stack, which is designed from the ground up to be as close to Ethereum as possible. Because of this, there are very little differences when it comes to building on Xhavic and Ethereum.

However, there are still some minor discrepancies between the behavior of Xhavic and Ethereum that you should be aware of when building apps on top of Xhavic.

These minor differences include:

• Opcodes

• Blocks

• Network specifications

• Transaction costs

Aside from the above, Xhavic Mainnet and Testnet do not yet support the new PUSH0 opcode introduced in Shanghai, which is the default target for the Solidity compiler if you use version 0.8.20 or later.

We recommend using 0.8.19 or lower until this is upgraded.
